I got your back, Zune.
Did you know Microsoft recently released a new Zune? No, you didn’t. And since I always root for the underdog, I decided to help Microsoft out with their ad campaign.
I’m not going to lie, this works on a lot of levels, but I think graphic designers will really appreciate my use of the font Arial to represent Zune while keeping the iPhone type in Helvetica. This is because font fanatics, like comic book dorks and Civil War reenactors, dedicate their lives to obscure minutia that doesn’t matter.

not to be a “font fanatic”, but the ipod font is a variant of myriad, not helvetica… helvetica is very round, and the letters usually end horizontally, while Arial ends in angles. You can really tell a difference if you compare lowercase e’s and s’s. Also, the Uppercase R’s and G’s are a good giveaway.
Here’s some reference material

I’ll go back to my nerd shack and play with my font dolls
Thanks

I think the iPod is actually a version of Myriad…and Comic Sans might be more appropriate for the Zune!

You got me there, Jeff. But I bet you don’t know off the top of your head who drew the silver age Green Lantern comics.

and you got me there……I don’t know much about anything, I was just forced fed Helvetica in Design School

Yeah, you got the fonts screwed up, but the AP style geek in me appreciates your redline editing.
Also, the only Silver Age Green Lantern artist that matters is Gil Kane.

You win, PJ. Or lose. Depending on your point of view.

Yeah the iPod font is definitely a modified version of Myriad, but you still get points for illustrating the bastardization of Helvetica (into Arial)! Nice work!
